How much can I save with solar panels?
Your savings depend on your current bill and how much sun your roof gets. Most AWS Solar customers see their monthly electric bill drop significantly once their system is producing.
We'll show you the exact number for your home during your free consultation, based on your actual usage and your roof.
2. What financing options are available?
You can go solar with no money down. We offer a few ways to do it.
Lease: We own the system. You pay a fixed monthly amount, usually lower than your current electric bill.
Loan: You own the system from day one and build equity as you pay it off.
Cash: Pay upfront for the lowest total cost over time.
We'll walk you through which option fits your situation best.
How long does it take to install a solar energy system?
Installation itself takes 1 to 3 days. Getting permits and approvals can add a few weeks before that, depending on your city.
Do I need to be home during the installation?
No. You don't need to be there for the whole thing. Our team will let you know ahead of time if there's a step that needs you present.
What incentives are available for solar in California?
The federal tax credit expired at the end of 2025, so it's not part of the picture anymore for new installs.
What's still active: California's property tax exclusion means your home's assessed value won't go up because of solar. SCE customers also get credit for excess energy sent back to the grid through net billing.
