Frequently Asked Questions
How does the 0% interest, zero payments for 12 months program work?
For the first 12 months your rate is 0% and no payments are due — and no interest builds up in the background waiting to hit you later. After the first year the loan continues at the fixed rate you agreed to at signing, and you'll see that exact monthly number in writing before you commit. Subject to credit approval; not available in all areas.
How much can I save with solar and battery?
Savings depend on your current bill, your utility's rate schedule, and how much sun your roof gets. Most AWS Solar customers see their monthly electric bill drop significantly once the system is producing. We'll show you the exact number for your home during your free consultation, based on your actual usage.
What incentives are available for solar in California?
The federal tax credit expired at the end of 2025, so it is not part of the picture for new installs. Still active: California's property tax exclusion means your home's assessed value won't go up because of solar, and SCE customers receive credit for excess energy sent back to the grid through net billing.
What battery options are available?
We are a Tesla Powerwall certified installer and also install other major residential storage brands, sized to your home's actual usage rather than a one-size-fits-all package.
How long does installation take?
The installation itself takes 1 to 3 days. Permits and utility approvals can add a few weeks before that, depending on your city. Everything is handled by in-house crews — no subcontractors.
Do I need to be home during installation?
No. You don't need to be there for the whole thing. Our team will let you know ahead of time if there's a step that requires you to be present.
